The playoffs begin this week for the Green Bay Packers as they head to Minnesota to play the Vikings. If the Packers win, they clinch the No. 2 seed and a bye. A loss not only allows the Vikings into the playoffs, but sets up a rematch next week at Lambeau Field. The Packers don't want that.

You would think I would've determined this a long time ago. I did. I swear. It's why I cover professional athletes for a living. But there was a time when I thought I would be one, and have suffered the physical consequences. Blown ligaments. Scopes. Surgeries. This is where not being a pro athlete hits home. That process is much different for the top athletes, but I wouldn't trade places with them in the long run.
