Horny Goat Brewing Company's Horny Hideaway opened less than a year ago in the former Pump House, 2011 S. 1st St., and it has already carved out a niche for itself as Milwaukee's best patio.

Loving the warm temperatures, people are already perched on the Nomad patio at 1401 E. Brady St. And, the Ale House has free beer if it hits 60.

The race for Best Patio, 2008, was close. But, the Milwaukee Ale House won out over 2007 winner Trocadero. The Ale House, with its picturesque location on the Milwaukee River, gives diners and drinkers a spectacular backdrop to conduct the pursuit of merriment. (The craft beer selection doesn't hurt, either).
