The cleverly named American Euros cart hit the streets of Milwaukee in July 2009, and has been going strong ever since. A brick and mortar shop opens today at 3133 N. Oakland Ave.

By no means am I a "foodie." However, I do believe that I have a decent "working man's" palate and that I can easily discern between McDonald's and Kopp's. They're known as the "hot dog hotties," but they're not selling hot dogs. Like the late-night Downtown hot dog vendors, Mark Miller and Chad Mydlowski sell hot food to the hungry masses from a small cart. Only, rather than wieners, they're pushing gyros.
