Common Ground wants to meet with Bucks owner Edens on distressed properties

The Southeastern Wisconsin Common Ground group gathered at North 44th Street on Thursday morning to protest the desire of Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Wes Edens, along with co-owner Marc Lasry, to receive public funds for a new multi-use arena in Downtown Milwaukee. Nationstar, the company Common Ground says owns hundreds of distressed properties in Milwaukee, had addressed the group with a letter on Wednesday.

This morning, Milwaukee Downtown BID #21 announced its first ever Taste & Toast, a new happy hour event spread across more than 25 Downtown bars and restaurants. The promotion, which runs from Monday, March 2 through Friday, March 6, will feature specially priced small plates, appetizers and drinks - alcoholic and otherwise - from 4 until 7 p.m.
