The 2012-13 regular season did not go as planned for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers as injury and ineffectiveness contributed to a losing season. But, the team has found some consistency the last two weeks and finished the last six games 3-3. Now, the Panthers are looking for an upset in the Horizon League Tournament.

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee will induct five former student-athletes into the Bud K. Haidet Athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday. Nick Gretz, Antou Jallow, Josha (Krueger) Kruvand, Jerry Stern and Maria Viall will be officially welcomed to the Hall of Fame during ceremonies at the Milwaukee Athletic Club. The event begins at 10 a.m., prior to the UWM men's basketball game that evening against Wright State.

Kyle Rechlicz has been named the new head coach for UWM Women's Basketball. She comes to the Milwaukee Panthers from the University of Wisconsin, where she served as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Badgers Women's Basketball for the 2011-12 season.

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's basketball team will hold its fifth annual Senior Salute on May 3 honoring seniors Kaylon Williams, Tony Meier and Ryan Allen.The event will also mark the kickoff of the Panther Basketball Final Four Raffle, with the winner claiming a trip to the 2013 Final Four in Atlanta.
