Young proposes Jazz in the Park exemption
State Rep. Leon D. Young (D-Milwaukee) has proposed legislation that would create an exemption for Jazz in the Park in the law that prohibits patrons carrying in their own booze. Current state law prohibits carrying in beverages because The East Town Association holds a license to sell fermented beverages in Cathedral Square Park during the event.

Parking relief for some Downtown residents
On Tuesday, the Common Council voted to allow residents of the area bounded by Prospect Avenue to the east, Milwaukee Street to the west, Wells Street to the south and Ogden Avenue to the north to keep their vehicles parked on city street for up to five days without being ticketed or towed.
