A look at lakeside (and other) dining in Pewaukee
Pewaukee's dining landscape is ever-growing and while you'll still find your fair share of small bar-and-grills or classic supper clubs, new, contemporary and ethnically diverse restaurants are popping up, especially along the waterfront of Pewaukee Lake. Here is an updated account of what our neighbor to the west is bringing to the dining table.

What does "waukee" mean?
On a recent trip Up North, I passed through or close to a number of towns that sort of rhymed with Milwaukee. And it got me thinking: what do these words mean in their Native American languages? Wausaukee, Pewaukee, Packwaukee … they all sound really similar to the untrained ear of this white guy.
