I like soccer. Those are three words I thought would never pass my lips. I've spent over three decades loving youth soccer and thinking that soccer for adults was just a niche sport with nothing to recommend it. I still find football, basketball and baseball much more satisfying, but I am willing to concede that there may well be more than just a small element of truth to the sobriquet "The Beautiful Game."

The Milwaukee Wave and Baltimore Blast meet up for the second consecutive year to determine the champion in the Major Indoor Soccer League, a title which the Wave is defending. There's a twist this year, however, as it is not a one match final, but a two game series with a potential for a 15-minute tiebreaker Sunday at U.S. Cellular Arena.

Keith Tozer has literally lived the entire history of indoor soccer in North America. In November 1978, Tozer was the first overall player selected in the first ever indoor soccer league, the MISL. Recently elected to the United Soccer Leagues Hall of Fame, Tozer, 54, led the Milwaukee Wave to their fifth league championship last season and have just begun their title defense. OnMilwaukee.com recently sat down with Tozer for a wide ranging discussion that touched on his past, the Wave's future, and how long he wants to continue coaching.

One school of thought is that kids ought to learn that winning brings joy and satisfaction and losing is what happens when you don't try or don't practice or don't pay attention. The other school of thought, of course, is that you should just let kids play.

The defending champion Packers are about to start their title defense season and the Brewers are (knock on wood) on a trajectory that will at least take them to the playoffs. I would bet everyone reading this can name at least five Packers and Brewers. Now quick - name one player on either Manchester United or the Indian National Cricket team. Can't, can you?

There certainly were better players on the Brewers' roster during Chris Capuano's seven seasons in Milwaukee, but few of them were more respected than Capuano himself. Now with the New York Mets, the left-hander appears fully recovered from his second Tommy John surgery and is getting into a groove in the Big Apple.
