Upcoming food events showcase vanilla, cider, pigs and soup

There are always plenty of food-related events going on in Milwaukee. But here are four that caught my eye, including a bakery demonstration focused on vanilla, a gluten-free cider dinner at Bacchus, a pig roast and bonfire, and Milwaukee's annual Empty Bowls fundraiser.

Howard's pastry experience alone is impressive; after all, she graduated from the best pastry school in the U.S. and broke her teeth working among some of Milwaukee's finest. But, her drive and passion for her work was what I found most inspiring.
