Milwaukee's best ribs, 2009: Saz's State House
Though thousands of people consume Saz's food during the summer festival season, the ribs provide the backbone of the menu at the venerable restaurant that opened in 1976 on State Street. "You always want to be known for something," founder Steve Sazama said. "We're known for ribs." Those ribs narrowly edged Speed Queen for top honors in this year's OnMilwaukee.com readers poll.
