Last week via Facebook and Twitter, we asked people to weigh in with constructive criticism for Summerfest. Then, we submitted the suggestions to John Boler, vice president of sales and marketing at Summerfest, and here are his responses.

After a two-year hiatus, Milwaukee singer-songwriter Pat McCurdy returns to the Big Gig this year. McCurdy will perform in the 10 p.m. slot on June 24 -- the festival's opening night -- at the Briggs and Stratton Big Backyard. He will follow a set by Grammy-winning pop star Colbie Calliet.

Back in December we asked you to chime in with the bands you'd like to see play on the Henry Maier Festival Grounds. Then, we took that list to the four folks that have the power to put bands on those stages across 11 days -- Bob Babisch, Doug Johnson, Vic Thomas and Scott Ziel -- to see what they had to say.

Bob Babisch is the name most associated with talent buying at Summerfest. But no one man can book 11 days of music on roughly a dozen stages alone. That's where Vic Thomas, among others, comes in.
