Jamie Johns is the "in demand" music director in Milwaukee. He got here in 1999 and went to work for what was then the Skylight Opera Company. From then on he's been music director for some outstanding musicals, including his current production, the memorable "The Sound of Music" at Skylight.

Sometimes a theatrical production is a personal catharsis for those in it. Private growth, self-knowledge or problem resolution can be the happy by-product of pouring your heart and soul into a play. Youngblood Theatre Company is looking for something perhaps greater than all of that in its upcoming remount of "Red Light Winter." It hopes for an exorcism.

You gotta love a theater town that has the world premiere of a play about Liberace and a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta opening on the same weekend. Talk about fun!
