Saturday Scorecard: Badgers add zest to Big Dance
On the first day of the NCAA Tournament, 11 of 16 games were decided by double-digits. Thanks in part to the local teams, the action tightened considerably on Friday. Hours after Marquette outlasted Utah State at Taco Bell Arena in Boise, the Wisconsin Badgers beat Florida State in overtime.

Road to Final Four begins in Boise for MU, UW
For the Wisconsin Badgers and Marquette Golden Eagles, the road to Detroit for the 2009 NCAA Final Four begins in Boise. Both teams will open the NCAA Tournament there Friday. Both teams will face tough tests. But its unlikely that the two schools' collective fan bases will be teaming up to provide a home-court advantage.

Badgers look for answers as free fall continues
A 66-63 loss to Northwestern Saturday night left Wisconsin with a 3-6 record an in ninth place in the Big Ten. What happened to the Badgers? There's a lot of questions to be answered, but in the end ... blame this stretch on the defense.

MU 61, UW 58: Eagles take page from UW playbook
Leading up to the in-state showdown, much was made of Marquette's lack of size and ability to play inside against the bigger and stronger Badgers. Taking a page out of their rivals' playbook, the Golden Eagles -- led by Jerel McNeal's 26 points -- went inside often and grinded out a 61-58 victory at the Bradley Center.
