Black Holocaust Museum founder's book prepared for reprinting

Dr. James Cameron ran the Milwaukee Black Holocaust Museum from 1988 until his death in 2006. Cameron is believed to be the only person to survive a lynching. A crowdfunding campaign is now in place to fund the re-printing of his autobiography.

Local author and artist resurrects "The Bezert"

More than 15 years ago, Maria Knier wrote and illustrated a book, "The Bezert," and then set it aside to pursue other avenues. On Monday, Nov. 10, The Bezert will be released by Little Bahalia Publishing after a recent re-editing and re-illustrating of the original copy.

"Cocaine Vampires" book set in Brew City

Local writer Jim Cryns recently finished and self-published a full-length novel called "Cocaine Vampires." Despite the title, Cryns says he knew almost nothing about vampires or cocaine when he started the writing, but he does know a lot about Milwaukee, which is where the book takes place.
