All-Star notebook: Brewers meet the president
Too bad Brewers all-stars Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder and Trevor Hoffman are no longer in grade school. They could write a great paper entitled, "What I did on my summer vacation: Met the President." The three greeted the Commander in Chief before the American League's 4-3 victory Tuesday night at Busch Stadium. "It was pretty special," he said. "It's not something very many people get to experience."

A rough week without Rickie Weeks
Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks went on the disabled list May 19 with a season-ending wrist injury. In eight games since that transaction, the team has scored 22 runs and posted a 3-5 record.

Saturday Scorecard: CC makes the pressure point
While hoping for a Christmas miracle, many Brewers fans told themselves that CC Sabathia might prefer the low-key environment in Milwaukee over the "fishbowl" life in New York. After signing a huge deal with the Yankees, Sabathia shot down that theory and gave a window into the inner thoughts of big-time free agents.
