Today, I had the honor of documenting the story of Briggs, a Boston Terrier who was stolen from his East Side yard. Hearing and writing about this story reminds me of the tremendous impact pets, particularly dogs, have on our lives.

On Thursday, May 17, Tricia O'Malley got a phone call from her husband, Josh, and he told her that their dog, a 2-year-old Boston terrier named Briggs, was no longer on the porch where he had just left him minutes earlier. Here's the entire story, and forgive the spoiler, but it has a very happy ending.

Summerfest has announced the headliners for the Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard stage for 2006 and "A Gospel Celebration," which it said in a statement will pay tribute to "gospel and faith-based music and benefit area churches."
