Rapid review: Wayward Kitchen's service industry brunch

Recently, Wayward Kitchen, 1407 S. 1st St., started offering a Service Industry Brunch on Mondays (which is open to anyone) and OnMilwaukee stopped in for a very satisfying burger, Benedict and bloody.

Much has changed over the years at Lambeau Field, but a constant was Curly's Pub. Well, after 2014, a new restaurant will be in a new location within Lambeau Field, so we decided to give the longtime Green Bay staple a last look.

This month I wanted to get to at least a couple places I haven't been in the city, and one goal was to be somewhere on the Marquette University campus when something was happening basketball-wise. I not only did that, and followed it up by rediscovering an old favorite later in the evening.


Food Truck Week: The "Baconmeister" from Burgermeister

I quite enjoyed the "Garlicmeister" last time, but I'm pretty sure I'm now partial to their $9 "Baconmeister" meal. With 1/3 pound of Angus beef, topped with bourbon bacon, onion, lettuce, tomato and cheese (I opted for cheddar), it's the brioche bun that makes the difference to me. It comes with homemade chips or fries and a drink.
