The brand new event is a weekend-long local music extravaganza running from Friday, Feb. 27 through Sunday, March 1, with 70 bands and 15 artists spread across three neighborhoods -- Bay View, Riverwest and the East Side -- and 15 venues. If that sounds cool, its motives (besides providing a ton of music) are even more so.

Time stops for no one. The same could be said for the Milwaukee hip-hop group The Sounds of Time, at least based on their work ethic. The trio - comprised of John Kuester (aka Kid Millions), local producer Sage Schwarm and DJ Deadbeat - began work on their sophomore album, fittingly titled "............Again," right when their first album together was released. Saturday night, however, they'll take some time to celebrate their latest work.

Hip-hop trio Clipping is headed to Milwaukee as part of the tour for its latest record, "CLPPNG," out now on Sub Pop. The three -- Daveed Diggs, Jonathan Snipes and William Hutson -- will open for Busdriver on Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Cactus Club. In advance of the Milwaukee gig, we caught up with Snipes and Hutson, to ask about the new record and the whole idea of genres and the limitations they might impose from outside.
