Local teacher honors grandmother with cake business

Telashay Farr, a math teacher at Vincent High School, also owns and operates a baking and catering business, Avia Cakes. Her baked goods are available by the slice every weekend at the Fondy Farmers Market, 2200 W. Fond du Lac Ave.

The band, Cake, on the other hand, is notoriously dry, especially lead singer John McCrea's droll lyrics and deadpan delivery.
