The Bartolotta Restaurants have chosen Milwaukee's Urban Ecology Center as their 2015 Care-a-lotta Spot-On Campaign partner. The restaurant group will spend the next six months helping the Urban Ecology Center raise awareness of its mission as well as funds and friends in a variety of ways.

This afternoon, Hunger Task Force, Milwaukee's free and local food bank, announced a new partnership with SWARMM Events. The new partnership includes a commitment from SWARMM Events to donate a minimum of $25,000 to Hunger Task Force over the next year.

Many people will find it easier to wrap their heads around the idea of a 24-hour run than to grasp what Thomas Budde seeks to accomplish with a charity called The GIVE Shirt. Larger nonprofits raise millions to fight cancer, save endangered species or fight domestic violence. Budde raises thousands, primarily to encourage people to give. Give what? Whatever they can.

It can be an intense, lonely time for mothers in the NICU, even on Mother's Day. That's a part of the reason why friends Amy Scott and Erin Nevicosi created the Grateful Hearts Giving Network. The fledgling charity organization was founded to give people a chance to give back to those in times of need - in this case, those in the NICU - by donating and assembling useful items into gift bags.
