It might be possible for me to count on the fingers of one hand the times I've actually been proud of a politician. Once more I find I'm proud of a politician, in this case County Executive Chris Abele. Even though I don't agree with all his decisions, he provided a moment that will forever be burned in my memory.

Should the County sell O'Donnell Park to NML?

Northwestern Mutual has proposed purchasing O'Donnell Park from Milwaukee County for $14 million, though according the the plan NML would receive a $1.3 million credit to pay for parking structure maintenance. The public would still have access to the park, pavilions and parking structure. Is this in the long-term best interest of Milwaukee?

Public and private sectors collaborate to push Park East development

This morning Mayor Tom Barrett, County Executive Chris Abele and Jim Barry of the Commercial Association of Realtors (CARW) held a press conference on the site of demolished Sydney Hih building on the corner of 3rd and Juneau to talk about the future of the roughly four square blocks of Park East land that runs west from the river.
