MPS details Malcolm X settlement for city committee

A group of Milwaukee Public Schools officials appeared before the Common Council's Zoning, Neighborhoods and Development Committee at City Hall Tuesday morning to offer updates on the plan to open an International Baccalaureate Middle School at the former Malcolm X Academy, 2760 N. 1st St.


Hines resigns

Coggs makes politics personal

It's no secret that Ald. Milele Coggs and Chief Edward Flynn don't get along. Coggs is one of the leaders of the demonstrators who are demanding answers about the death of Derek Williams in police custody. The way I see it, in the budget deliberations, Coggs figured the way to get back at the chief was to eliminate the salary for the public relations position at the police department.
