Bay View's Christina Ward is a Master Food Preserver which basically means she's an expert in canning food. But the practice goes way beyond what one might think. For Ward, it also involves foraging, community healing and the reclaiming of a practice that was once dismissed as "woman's work."

On Sunday, Dec. 14, Matt Timms will bring his Takedown home cook competition series to Turner Hall Ballroom. In the past, Timms has hosted Mac 'n' Cheese Takedowns in Milwaukee, but this year, he's bringing a much sweeter competition to town: a Cookie Takedown.

On Thursday, Nov. 6, four Milwaukee chefs - Harbor House executive chef Zachary Espinosa, Blue Jacket executive chef Matt Kerley, former INdustri Cafe chef Robert Klemm and Le Reve chef de cuisine Patrick Murphy - team up to cook a special scrumptious four-course dinner in honor of Easter Seals of Southeastern Wisconsin.
