The Milwaukee Art Museum continues its Target Free First Thursday program this week on Thursday, Nov. 3 and next month on Thursday, Dec. 1, offering two more chances to see three great Milwaukee Art Museum exhibitions - "Impressionism: Masterworks on Paper," "Taryn Simon: Photographs and Texts" and "Building a Masterpiece: Santiago Calatrava and the Milwaukee Art Museum" - at no cost.

The Milwaukee County Parks Department announced late yesterday that the O'Donnell Park parking structure will re-open on Friday, July 1, echoing what Milwaukee Art Museum director Dan Keegan told me on Monday when I met with him.

Whether or not "Wishes in the Wind" - the painting by Milwaukee artist David Lenz that depicts a Latina girl, a white boy and African-American girl playing on the sidewalk of a Milwaukee street - was offensive to the governor's politics, removing it from the governor's mansion in Madison has definitely gotten people talking.

The Milwaukee Art Museum makes some changes to start a new year. Today, the museum announced the addition of new Chief Curator Brady Roberts and a new title -- director of exhibits -- for Laurie Winters.
