As we reported a few months ago, Kings Go Forth has been talking to Luaka Bop Records, the label found two decades ago by David Byrne. Just before the band took the stage at Turner Hall Ballroom this week, they inked a deal with the label for up to three records. The first one is guaranteed and the label has an option on the next two.

Rumors have been swirling around town that Milwaukee's own Kings Go Forth have inked a deal with David Byrne's Luaka Bop Records. But is it true?

David Byrne was in town recently for a show at The Pabst Theater. While he was here, he hooked up with local musician and man about town Paul Finger. The story is all in Byrne's recent blog entry.
