Kids day draws big crowd to Big Gig

After a night of storms Summerfest was warm and dry for kids day on Tuesday. Admission was free until 3 p.m. and big crowds were on hand to enjoy the Big Gig.


First Milwaukee New Year's a great one

My two-year anniversary at is coming up in March, but I'm still finding new things to experience in and around Milwaukee, and "firsts" are always a lot of fun. I spent my first New Year's Eve in the Cream City this week, and it was a lot more fun than I expected.

The bulk of my New Year's Eve was spent at the Oriental Theatre, checking out the Dead Man's Carnival for the first time. Despite the buzz, we managed to capture a pretty good video of the best two minutes of the show.
