This year's Record Store Day is Saturday, April 21, and The Exclusive Company will have free performances all day at its shops on the East Side (1669 N. Farwell Ave.), in Greenfield (5026 S. 74th St.) and in West Bend (144 N. Main St.).

One business that really glimmers in the limelight of Record Store Day each year is The Exclusive Company, which again celebrates with a full line-up of bands performing in the store on Saturday, April 17.

While a lot of local music fans might feel like "Record Store Day" is hardly worth celebrating in a year that saw the death of Atomic Records, there are still a handful of shops vending vinyl and CDs in town. Among them is The Exclusive Company, which celebrates the day by creating "Buzzcity," a 15-song sampler of some of the best original, home-grown Milwaukee music.
