They say time flies when you're having fun. I don't know who "they" are (probably those terrifyingly upbeat "glass half full" people), but they nailed it. My 2012 is a blur of exciting times and memorable moments, most of which my lawyers have advised me not to discuss in detail. There's still plenty to talk about, though, and I've shared the highlights below.

Tom Crabtree is one of the Green Bay Packers' many offensive options and is one of the team's greatest Tweeters. Or at least he was, until shutting down on his 46,000 followers for the season. He talks about that, how you balance the expectation of the last two years against a new season, and how he's approaching tonight's preseason game.

We're not gonna suggest that summer is almost over, because it's not. There's plenty of sun fun left to soak up. But we will say that there's been a lot of summer already underway and so OnMilwaukee.com asked the Social Circle what's been the high point, so far.

In one moment, Brandon Jennings was "Brandon Jennings, basketball player," meeting a fan for a Bucks Summerfest experience. The next, he sat there anxiously waiting to meet Lupe Fiasco, and was thrilled when the rapper put his jersey on during the show. Tim Dillard and Tom Crabtree have tens of thousands of fans cheering for them every Brewers and Packers home game, but Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters had their voices hoarse. Music is the great connector, and Summerfest does it best.

The modern rock legends that are the Foo Fighters have made a select few U.S. stops on their most recent tour, but nothing is sure to come close to their gig at Summerfest's Marcus Amphitheater. At least, that's how the rockers made it feel.
