"Gene and Joan in Lodi, etc." is open to the public in an East Side apartment tonight and will feature 11 projectors simultaneously playing slides of peoples' vacations from the 1940s to the '70s. The slides were collected from thrift and estate sales over the past 10 years.

Gallery Night and Day is a cultural gem that Milwaukee is lucky to have and other cities are right to envy. But for some - especially those who are in the beginning stages of their art connoisseurship - the scope of the event can be a little daunting. That's where the ART Bus comes in. For the past two years, Jeremy Fojut and his team at ART Milwaukee have been chauffeuring Gallery Night participants all around the city to and from the hottest galleries - but the ART Bus is so much more than just a convenient way to hitch a ride.

Milwaukee made yet another national list today as it was named one of America's top 12 "ArtPlaces" today by ArtPlace, a collaboration of 13 leading national and regional foundations, eight federal agencies including the National Endowment for the Arts, and six of the nation's largest banks.
