After visiting a client in Germantown, I drove past a strip mall and noticed a sign with "Aldo's" on it. My mind immediately flashed back to my childhood and wondered if this place was related in any way to the Aldo's I enjoyed in Riverwest many moons ago. I vowed to return, and around six months later, I did.

Set amid fields of soy beans, stands of corn and cornfields already cut, Jim's is a charming little farm -- complete with a babbling brook. We spent just under $15 for two hours or so of fun with two adults and two kids. We took home two big pumpkins, an acorn squash to make with supper, three ears of Indian corn and a tiny pumpkin, too.
