This weekend, the Harley-Davidson Museum, 400 W. Canal St., launches its summer exhibit, which focuses on the life and work of Willie G. Davidson, grandson of one of the founders of the iconic Milwaukee motorcycle company. Thanks to his creative design work and his efforts to buy back the company from AMF in 1981, Willie is, himself, an icon to Hog enthusiasts.

Pride has always been a residual effect of riding, building or promoting Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and once again, the H-D pride is reinforced through the Harley-Davidson Museum's latest exhibit called "(P)ART: Photographs Revealing the Art of Mechanical Form." This new exhibit opened last week and runs through Sunday, May 17.

In recent years, the Milwaukee Bucks have not had much to celebrate when they've conducted their annual preview luncheon with the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce. This year, however, there was a tangible buzz in the room at the event, which was held at the Harley-Davidson Museum.

The week-long VIP, Harley-riding experience ended as it began, with a police escort, first, out of town from Joplin, Mo., to begin the journey on Route 66 last Tuesday. Three days later, it was down Canal Street onto the grounds of motorcycle Mecca - the Harley-Davidson Museum.
