Motorcycles and mainstream sports share a special bond in Wisconsin

As a lifelong local baseball fan, some of my favorite pictures are of Milwaukee Braves' players riding in motorcycle sidecars at County Stadium in the 1960s. Of course, there's another classic motorcycle image from County Stadium in 1982 featuring Robin Yount, except he was on a Honda dirt bike instead of a Harley. These really cool vintage pictures show the long-time connection between motorcycles and sports in Wisconsin.

Encore showings of "Honor Flight" offered at Marcus Theatres

A lot of us couldn't make the Aug. 11 premiere of "Honor Flight" at Miller Park, or were too busy around the holidays to catch the viewings offered by Marcus Theatres on Pearl Harbor Day in December. Luckily, we're getting another chance. This month, Marcus Theatres will show the emotional documentary at eight Wisconsin locations.

Milwaukee veterans featured in new Honor Flight documentary

Orville Lemke answered the call of duty in 1944 at the age of 20. Sixty-six years later, he saw the monument built in his honor by a grateful nation. His story and those of fellow Wisconsin veterans will be featured in Freethink Media's new documentary, "Honor Flight," which premiers at Miller Park this Saturday at the Field of Honor event.
