Duo works to promote Milwaukee's Chinese history
Although the city is dotted with Chinese restaurants and we were happy to welcome YI Jinlian to the Bucks -- however briefly - Chinese-Americans in Milwaukee seem to have a pretty low profile. "Chinese Milwaukee" ($19.99), by David B. Holmes and Wenbin Yuan, the co-founders of the Wauwatosa-based Milwaukee Chinese Historical Society, just might help change that.

Mutza's book reels out proud history of fire department
"Milwaukee Fire Department," by former firefighter Wayne Mutza, tells the history of the organization through a 128-page photography timeline dating back to the 1800s when the department first formed as a volunteer group.
