In the case of Rocky Braat - the star of "Blood Brother," the closing night film of the Milwaukee Film Festival - it took a trip to a world an ocean away to find where he belonged and an unlikely community of young strangers turned brothers.

More than a decade ago, Bela Roongta started a small T-shirt and card business called belatees based on her love for henna and henna-inspired design. Today, it has grown into a larger business called belabela and her hand-screened clothing items, cards and art work are sold locally, nationally and internationally.

Eleven years ago, Shawn Hutchens opened Green Fields, an upscale bohemian boutique, on Farwell Avenue. Last month, he opened a second location in a brand new building, 1241 N. Brady St. The shop celebrates its grand opening this weekend.
