Festa Italiana and the ICC launch quake relief fund
To aid relief efforts after the shattering earthquake that rocked Italy's Abruzzo region on Monday, Milwaukee's Festa Italiana and the Italian Community Center (ICC) launched a relief fund to help collect local donations.

Milwaukee's Spicuzza writes a love letter to Italy
Jeanne Marie Spicuzza has lived in L.A. for a decade now, but her ties to Milwaukee are as strong as ever. Now, in her new book, Spicuzza explores her relationship to another place. "My Italia," published by her own Libri Publishers, collects Spicuzza's prose and poetry about her ancestral homeland. It is a love letter to a country she first discovered more than a dozen years ago.

Label deal takes The Goodnight Loving to Europe
Milwaukee's The Goodnight Loving has inked a deal with Italy's Wild Honey Records that not only means a European release of the band's latest self-titled disc. It also means that the label has helped the quintet add two weeks of Italian dates to its European tour in November and December.
