Clock is ticking for decision on Hoan Bridge
It's been a semi-charmed kind of life for the Hoan Bridge, the yellow-arched icon of Milwaukee's Lakefront. But time could be running out for the Hoan Bridge. Built in the early 1970s but not opened to traffic until 1977, the nearly two-mile span over the Milwaukee Harbor is in need of replacement or repair.

SWRPC sees increased scrutiny, federal complaints
The Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission is getting closer scrutiny these days.
The NAACP and the ACLU filed a complaint with the Office of Federal Contract Compliance of the U.S. Department of Labor. According to the ACLU, the complaint came about after SEWRPC said it would not do an outside search for a new director and assistant director.
