Cookie lady gives "Bronze Fonz" a thumbs up
When Jessica Radke heard Visit Milwaukee was raising money to build a bronze Fonz statue, she wanted to contribute. So she made cookies.

"The Simpsons" on the giant screen
It's been a few years since I caught a movie at the Hi-Way 18 Outdoor Theatre in Jefferson. It's really quite a schlep, a good 50 minutes from Milwaukee.

Dinesen's Leather moves to Third Ward
Dinesen's Leather Only will move from 798 N. Jefferson St. to 231 E. Buffalo St. by the end of October. Manager Steve Galstad explains why.

Mo's Monsoon sweeps into Jefferson Street dining scene
Housed in the former location of the short-lived Zyng, Monsoon Wok and Lounge features a variety of Chinese entrees and the novel concept of hot rocks, where the server delivers your food alongside a hot slab of granite on which you sauté dinner at your table.

Folk-punk poet Riedl wages love and war on her guitar
Buffalo has Ani DiFranco, but Milwaukee has JoAnn Riedl. Both women channel their political frustration through music, but whereas DiFranco blows through town once a year, Riedl rips it up at local open mics.
