Making the most of jury duty downtime
At lunch on Monday I wandered the halls of the County Courthouse and stumbled (not literally) onto the Register of Deeds office. The result is that I spent the rest of my jury service downtime studying the history of my house.

Jury service: civic duty or network time killer?
I'm currently serving my third jury duty and so far, like the last two times, I've done nothing more than read a book, shuffle my feet, pace around and try not to die of intense state-sponsored boredom. Isn't there a better way?
