Milwaukee's PGA tournament closed its clubhouse in 2009 after decades as a second-rate tour stop and a few years as a third-rate event. There were no stars stopping in Milwaukee. Attendance was almost non-existent. But, I am convinced that Milwaukee could stage a LPGA Tour even that would be one of the best and biggest on the women's tour.

In 1998, Se Ri Pak won the U.S. Women's Open on the Blackwolf Run course in Kohler. Many point to that moment as a turning point in the women's game, but it also started an incredible relationship between owner Herb Kohler and golf's governing bodies that has resulted in four major golf championships to date and another three scheduled in the future, including the return of the Women's Open to Blackwolf this summer.
