I imagine there are lots of people who aren't that bothered by the idea of no more Saturday mail delivery. I mean, who needs another bill, right? But that doesn't mean the elimination of Saturday mail delivery won't make an impact on millions of Americans who have always taken it for granted.

I've noticed a few conversations on Facebook regarding blue corner mailboxes and how they seem to be disappearing. In Riverwest, for example, there are at least two mailboxes I can think of that are no longer in service.

Flashing lights, big illuminated buttons, beeps and massive carts of letters mechanically dumping over. Who knew a tour of the post office's processing facility could be so exciting and educational?

In case phone, fax, e-mail, FedEx or text messages are too easy, fast and cheap for your liking, it's good to know you can still send a telegram.
