Brewers Notebook: Time for a much-needed break
Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder and Trevor Hoffman are in St. Louis for the All-Star Game. The rest of their Brewers teammates, though, are getting three much-needed days off to regroup and refocus after a disappointing end to the first half.

Parra to return from minors; Bush set for rehab start
Manny Parra has been recalled from Class AAA Nashville and will get the start Thursday when the Brewers take on St. Louis. Dave Bush, meanwhile, will begin working his way back to the Brewers rotation when he makes a rehab start Friday with Class A Wisconsin.

Brewers Notebook: Braun wants some help
Ryan Braun has never been one to bite his tongue. So it shouldn't come as a surprise, then, that just a few hours after his was voted onto to the National League All-Star team, and his Brewers were knocked around by the Cubs, Braun let it be known that the General Manager in him wants to see the actual GM, Doug Melvin, make a move for some more pitching.

Brewers Notebook: Short starts lead to bad results
Through their first 39 games, the Brewers led all of baseball with 25 quality starts. In their last 29 games, they've notched just seven. The results are evident, as the Brewers have dropped a game-and-a-half behind the Cardinals in the National League Central.
