Marquette rescinds Bill Cosby's honorary degree

The idea of Bill Cosby speaking to a crowd full of young impressionable minds ready to head out into the world and their smiling family members seems unthinkable now. But back in 2013, before anyone really truly knew of Cosby's accused crimes, that's exactly what happened at Marquette University's graduation ceremony. Today, Marquette attempted to undo that now in retrospect squirmy choice, rescinding Cosby's honorary degree from that day.


Finding Père Jacques Marquette in his birthplace ... and mine

I don't remember anymore why I was searching for information about Jesuit priest and 17th century explorer Jacques Marquette, the university's namesake, but I do remember sitting in my office searching for background information when I made a really cool discovery: Père Marquette and I were both born in Laon, a city in the north of France. Years later, I would finally return to our birthplace, a trip that lives in me in ways I never thought it would.


Marquette basketball launches new app

Today, my alma mater - Marquette - helped fuel my fan fire by releasing a new app that is available for free download, thanks to a partnership with Bluechip Athletic Solutions, Inc.
