OnMilwaukee.com Recommends: May 21, 2009
The warm weather means everyone is wearing fewer clothes -- even the burgers. This week, our list of recommendations begins with the Naked Burger Salad (pictured), which is a tasty new treat from Mason Street Grill. We also point out some cool music, including new stuff from Jason Isbell and Keith Urban, a cool Web site and -- for dessert -- a deliciously addictive cookie.

This just in: Danny Gokey stopped for lunch!
We can't help ourselves. Every other media outlet is providing saturation coverage of Danny Gokey, so we feel compelled to report that the "American Idol" semifinalist stopped at Mason Street Grill before heading toward the Summerfest grounds. Gokey was running an hour behind schedule this morning, which was not a surprise. He's slated to throw out the ceremonial first pitch and sing the national anthem tonight at Miller Park. He'll also visit the Brewers broadcast booth in the top of the third inning.

Milwaukee's best steak, 2008: 5 O'Clock Steakhouse
Milwaukee diners love steak. And, they love the Five O'Clock Steakhouse, a repeat winner of our annual award. The venerable 5 O'Clock, located at 2416 W. State St., has served huge hunks of perfectly seared, lightly crusted and flavorful meat for more than four decades. Neither the ambience nor the décor -- straight out of the '60s -- has changed much.
