For Stall, which has been active on the club scene since 1996, disc number two, "Very Donna," which is released April 24, is the first time the band has really gotten a chance to show what it can do in the studio.

McFarlin steps up to the mic
His name may not pop to mind as quickly as Paul Cebar's or Willy Porter's, but drummer Kirk McFarlin has long been a part of Milwaukee's music scene, playing in some of the town's most popular and influential bands. Now, with guitar in hand, he's fronting a band for the first time.
