Don't feel like you need to ditch your car. The overall goal is participation. Don't feel bad if you can't ride all seven days, but don't give up after only one. Take small steps towards enjoying riding a bike. If you find a problem, ask around for a solution; odds are someone has already figured it out. Bike to Work Week may not convert you to a spandex-loving gear head, but it might provide you with a new, fun weekly goal.

Potawatomi Bingo Casino's annual fundraiser called Miracle on Canal Street, the casino's signature charitable program, raised $981,273 for 30 Wisconsin-based charities.

The Milwaukee Bicycle Collective - with help from Potawatomi Bingo Casino's Miracle On Canal Street and OnMilwaukee.com - awarded 15 Milwaukee kids with new bikes tonight. The kids won a contest requiring them to submit a picture and an essay about biking.

The Milwaukee Bicycle Collective is currently overhauling its youth program, and to celebrate it is giving away 15 brand new bikes thanks to help from Potawatomi Bingo Casino's Miracle on Canal Street and OnMilwaukee.com.

Miracle on Canal Street started as a way to carry on the Potawatomi tradition of nurturing kids so they grow up to lead productive lives. This year, Potawatomi chose OnMilwaukee.com as a signature media partner and OnMilwaukee.com's charity of choice is the Milwaukee Bicycle Collective.
