Journey House will host a grand opening celebration for the Journey House Packers Field on June 6 at the southeast end of Milwaukee County's Mitchell Park. Events will begin at 2:30 p.m. with a reception followed by the official Grand Opening Ceremony from 3-4 p.m. Family fun activities will take place on the field from 4-7 p.m.

If you visit the Domes fairly regularly with some inquisitive little minds, as I do, you'll have found yourself stumped by a number of questions you can't answer. Armed with some of those questions, I got a behind the scenes tour of the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory, better known to all Milwaukeeans as The Domes.

Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele, County Supervisor Peggy Romo-West and other officials will unveil the the new "green" entrance to the Mitchell Park Domes in a ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 4 p.m.
