The topic of sports nicknames of the "lesser known" Milwaukee colleges and universities came up recently during my Bucks ticket draft. No one could name Carroll College's mascot. It's Carroll University now, by the way. Cardinal Stritch University? I got my MBA there and didn't even know it had sports, much less a mascot.

This afternoon, Chicago deep dish pizza restaurant Pizano's Pizza & Pasta announced that it will open its first Wisconsin location on the first floor of the MSOE Tower Apartments, 1150 N. Water St., across the street from McGillicuddy's and BarNone.

The Milwaukee Public Library's Board of Trustees has green-lighted discussions between the library and the Grohmann Museum, 1000 N. Broadway, at Milwaukee School of Engineering, that could bring $1 million to MPL in exchange for loaning Carl Spitzweg's painting, "The Bookworm," to the museum.
