The Midwest is often influenced and inspired by the East Coast, but sometimes the reverse happens. Such is the case with The Butterfly: a retro lounge and supper club located in New York City that's an homage to The Butterfly in Beloit. OnMilwaukee.com recently visited the Beloit Butterfly, and The Butterfly in New York is officially on the "bucket list."

As hundreds of people went to the courthouse to embrace their right to get married and I see the efforts Pride Milwaukee has gone through to make sure we have this right, it makes me think of the pride that Milwaukeeans have in their city.

A little harmless fun online doesn't seem quite serious enough to derail a political career. If everybody knows what's going on and nobody raises a stink except the media, then I agree with Weiner when he says he thinks New Yorkers will focus more on his message than on this other stuff.
