Through two weeks of the NFL season, one thing is readily apparent while watching the 2014 Green Bay Packers - they are NOT ready for Prime Time. They may be ready in weeks 16, 17 and the playoffs - and that's what matters. But right now? This is a mediocre football team, with an above-average (but not great) offense, and a below-average defense.

The Green Bay Packers needed something to change, offensively or defensively, after falling behind 21-3 to the New York Jets on Sunday. The change came courtesy of defensive end Mike Daniels, whose pressure forced an interception, which led to a touchdown, which changed the course of the game in the Packers' 31-24 comeback victory at Lambeau Field.

Brett Favre will be six years removed from his less than glorious exit from the Green Bay Packers this fall and there seems to be movement towards reconciliation between the two parties. But the key for Favre as he enters this new stage of his life is winning you back.

When it comes to the money athletes make, our hands are tied. Athletes can take performance enhancing drugs, they can commit all sorts of mayhem, but as long as they can still run, jump, swing and hit harder than any of us, we will continue to flock to watch them do all this.
