Morgan Burnett almost made a play on Colin Kaepernick's wobbly pass to Vernon Davis. The Green Bay Packers almost recovered an early fumble by Michael Crabtree. Micah Hyde almost came up with a potential game-winning interception. Unfortunately, almost wasn't good enough as the Packers lost 23-20 to the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the playoffs for the second straight season.

While it is true that the San Francisco 49ers are flying halfway across the country into the bitter cold that is the Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field, and the host Green Bay Packers are supposed to be "used" to it, but the predicted temps on Sunday afternoon does not provide a benefit for the Pack.

The Green Bay Packers ended the regular season with 17 different players catching at least one pass and seven different receivers catching at least one touchdown. Five players caught at least 35 passes. The key to such diversity? The route tree head coach Mike McCarthy planted has reached maturity.
